As many of you now, Leonard Nimoy has died today. He is perhaps best known as Mr. Spock from Star Trek. He was in many films including Invasion of the Body Snatchers which is one of my personal favorites. He was also a director, singer and poet. He lived a great long life and kept friends with his co-stars. He will be missed.

But lets not think of his death but his life. He was born in Boston, his family moving from Ukraine. He was, I think a mentor to all that would pay attention. His character Spock was the vessel for this, as he would put Jewish values and ideals into Star Trek. He was a great poet too, and always had something to say. His final tweet he wrote is so beautiful and everyone should think on it today.

“A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory.”

There is a lot that can be learned from Leonard Nimoy, and I hope all of you reading this will go ahead and read on about him. He was a great man and friend to many, a peaceful man.

Heart to heart
By those
Who have seen
What we see
And Known
What we know…
The miracle is this
The more we share…
The more
We have.

Leonard Nimoy
